Nagaland: BJP 24-Angetyongpang Mandal adopts three-point resolution

BJP, 24-Angetyongpang Mandal officials along with the BJP Mokokchung district officials after the first executive meeting on October 6.

Dimapur, Oct. 6 (EMN): The Bharatiya Janata Party, 24 Angetyongpang Mandal held its first executive meeting at its treasurer’s residence on Tuesday, October 6. The meeting was also attended by officials from the BJP, Mokokchung district and ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung.

The president of BJP, Mokokchung district, Imolemba Jamir, while delivering the keynote address, said that the ‘BJP has come a long way in Nagaland state, especially in Mokokchung district, and added that the party over the years has gained the respect of the people.’

He said that the NDA government at the Centre is a ‘people centric government’ with 147 programmes and policies aimed at the welfare of the people all over the country, an update stated on Tuesday. While encouraging all BJP leaders of 24 Angetyongpang Mandal, Imolemba Jamir said that it should be the duty of all the BJP workers in the assembly constituency to popularise the programmes of the BJP government so that the people in the villages can avail the welfare benefits of the government.

Jamir further asserted that a capable candidate should also contest on BJP ticket from the constituency. In this regard, Imolemba said that the BJP Mokokchung district has ‘full faith in the BJP Angetyongpang Mandal leaders in projecting a capable BJP candidate in the next election.’

The meeting also adopted a three-point resolution. The Mandal resolved to stand by the ‘directives from the central BJP leaders’ with regard to the party functioning; “it also repose its full faith” in the BJP Nagaland state president, Temjen Imna Along ,who is also the minister for Higher Technical and Tribal Affairs department.

Furthermore, the Angetyongpang Mandal resolved that there should be no seat sharing in the forthcoming state assembly election and resolved to field a winning candidate to contest on BJP ticket.
