Nagaland beat Mizoram to enter final

In the ongoing U-25 Inter State Oneday Cricket tournament being played at NCA Stadium, Dimapur, hosts Nagaland defeated Mizoram (U-25) team in the second match and virtually reached the final of the triangular series.
NCA (U-25) Captain Imliwati won the toss and elected to bat, but lost the first wicket at the score of 5 runs. The second wicket stand between Sedezalie 37(64 balls) and Oren Ngullie 18(19) put on 39 runs between them. At one stage Nagaland were 85 for the loss of 2 wickets, but a sudden batting collapse occurred and the team were all out for 112 in 25.4 overs. Imliwati contributed 24 runs. The Mizoram spinners Monu Gautam (4 wkts) and Sagar Kachhadiya (2 wkts) ran right through the strong batting line up of Nagaland team.
Mizoram also lost their first wicket at the score of 9 runs, but recovered back and one stage the score was 50 runs for the loss of two wickets. In a major setback to the Nagaland team their main spinners. Tahmeed had to leave the field after bowling 3 overs due to injury. But Nagaland fought back after lunch break and took wickets in quick succession with captian Imliwati taking 5 wickets, supported well by Inakato (2 wkts) and Akavi (2 wkts) in the absence of Tahmeed who took 6 wkts yesterday against Sikkim. Ultimately in the low scoring exciting match the Mizoram team were all out for 102 runs in 33.3 overs. For Mizoram Subham scored 33 (58 balls) and Hemal Patel 18(26).
Earlier in the first match, Nagaland defeated Sikkim by 57 runs.
