Dimapur, Oct. 8 (EMN): The Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the junior boys’ and girls’ basketball teams for the upcoming Junior National Basketball Championship (Zonal - NE).
NBA in an update informed that the competition, organised by the Meghalaya Basketball Association under the aegis of Basketball Federation of India, will be held from October 14 to the 17th at Shillong.
Players in the junior boys’ team are Kuozotuo Yietsu, Peteniehu Solo, Lovito Achumi, Keneingutuo Rame, Keneilhou Pienyu, Jay Kumar Sahani, Imtisanen Jamir, Thejasen Shüya, Nomhevi Linyü, Rahul Leonard Hans, Vikuolelie Khezhie and Khrienyütsu Kire. The reserve players are A Remingbambe Pame, Samzaiteigong Ndang, Mmhao B Jami and Thejasetuo Sale.
The boys’ team will be led by Sharman Lama as the manager, Kevilhoubie Khezhie as coach and Ruopfuvizo Mechulho as assistant coach.
Players in junior girls’ team are Visanuo Tsürho, Maria Goretti Beck, Rupa Gurung, Keneingunuo, Phibalari Kharmaw, Sakani Sumer, Neikeduonuo Sachü, Pelesenuo Mechülho, Khriezotuonuo Sorunuo, K Deborah Newmai, Rokovino Pucho and Medosevino Nagi. The reserve players are Ruokuosanuo Sachü, Ibajanai Rani, Roselin Vaiphei, Maryliana W Jyrwa.
Officials of the girls’ team included Roupfuvizo Mechulho (manager), Khriekuonuo Irine Solo (coach) and Sharman Lama (assistant coach)
A weeklong preparatory camp has been scheduled in Kohima before their departure, it stated.
