The annual general meeting of the Nagaland Badminton Association (NBA) was held at Hotel Japfü, Kohima on October 8 which was attended by representatives from the District Badminton Associations.
NBA president, Y Vikheho Swu, in his address informed members that many new initiatives are being introduced, such as sending talented players to major ranking tournaments at the national levels, trying to include badminton in the state sports academies, conducting state ranking tournaments etc.
Reports of the honorary secretary and honorary treasurer were also tabled during the meeting while a number of agendas for the welfare of the game were elaborately debated, including the ranking tournament to be held at Mokokchung on October 23 and 24 next, and another at Dimapur tentatively on November 13 and 14. The gathering reiterated that all the districts should compulsorily attend such annual general meetings which take place once a year. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Watizulu Jamir Sr. Vice President, NBA.
