Nagaland: Assam Rifles nabs three persons with arms and liquor
Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): As part of the ongoing crackdown on illegal activities, troops of Assam Rifles along with Nagaland Police representative arrested three persons along with illegal arms and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from 4th Mile area in Dimapur on July 13.
A press statement stated that the arrest and seizure was made in a joint operation based on specific intelligence inputs. The arrested persons were identified as Vikheho Assumi, Yazaka Labo and Kakivi Assumi.
The joint team also recovered one 7.65mm pistol with magazine, one .22mm rifles with magazine, one Chinese hand grenade, five 7.65mm live ammunitions, two .22mm live ammunitions, the report stated.
Besides, the team also recovered 15 cases of Imperial Blue Whisky and 128 cases of McDowel Rum worth INR 7,94,000 and other incriminating materials. The report further stated the arrested persons along with the recovered items were handed over to Diphupar police station for further investigation.
