DIMAPUR — The governments of Nagaland and Assam have agreed to carry out all future activities in the Disputed Area Belt (DAB) jointly, following tensions that arose after an eviction drive in the region.

According to an official communiqué from Nagaland chief secretary’s office, a joint eviction drive was recently conducted by the two states to remove illegal immigrants from the DAB. After the eviction, plantation activities carried out by Assam created friction in the border area.
