Dimapur, April 29 (EMN): The directorate of School Education has announced summer break for all schools, both government and private, within Nagaland with effect from April 30 until further notice.

All hostels accommodating school students have also been directed to remain closed during the period of summer vacation.

The announcement came after the government of Nagaland issued an order on April 19 directing closure of all schools in the state, including residential, for students of classes 1 to 8 till further notice. The state Cabinet had also decided close all educational institutions, coaching and vocational centres, and hostels starting from April 30 in view of the surge in Covid-19 cases in the country as well as the state.
