DIMAPUR — The 10 year anniversary of Musik-A was held at Town Hall in DImapur on Tuesday with Governor of Nagaland Nand Kishore Yadav as chief guest.
The celebration was filled with vibrant performances and instrumental showcases, making it a truly memorable anniversary event.
While speaking on the occasion, Yadav said that this milestone is not merely a marker of time, but a testament to dedication, passion, and the unifying power of music.

He added that over the past decade, Musik-A has carved a special place in the cultural landscape of Nagaland and has provided a vibrant platform for musicians, nurtured young talent, and fostered creativity across generations.
He stated that in a world that is often divided by differences, music has the unique ability to bring people together, transcending language, tribe, and background. Musik-A has embodied this spirit beautifully. He asserted that it takes courage and perseverance to sustain a creative movement for a decade.
Nagaland is rich in musical talent, with music deeply rooted in its identity from folk traditions and church choirs to contemporary bands, and Musik-A plays a vital role in preserving this heritage while promoting innovation and global reach.

He also the encouraged youngsters to continue pursuing one’s passion with discipline and perseverance, noting that music is not only an art but also a responsibility to inspire, to uplift, and to bring positivity into society.
While delivering short speech former Minster of Nagaland, Y. Vikheho Swu lauded Musik-A on its 10th anniversary, and recalled its humble beginnings in a rented space under the vision of Naga artiste Alobo Naga and its growth into a respected institution.
He praised Alobo’s dedication in transforming talent into meaningful impact, noting that Musik-A not only nurtures young musicians but also plays a vital role in preserving Naga cultural heritage.
He described the institute as more than just a music school but a movement that bridges tradition and modernity, promotes social service, and inspires future generations through faith, perseverance, and community support.
Former MLA of Nagaland, Khriehu Liezietsü while delivering short speech also expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged Alobo Naga for his dedication to the music community through the institute.
While delivering keynote address, Alobo Naga shared that Musik-A, founded in 2016, was born out of a desire to give back to society and moreover after realising the lack of music education opportunities in Nagaland.

He asserted that what began with a simple motto “to share, educate, and be enriched” has over a decade, trained over a thousand youth, organised numerous events, and supported hundreds in pursuing music careers.
He mentioned that Musik-A is not just about music but also about education, cultural preservation, and holistic development, including sports. Expressing gratitude to supporters, he credited the institute’s success to faith, teamwork, and community, and honored those who contributed to its journey.
