AGBCN youth conference underway in Mon
Youth of Gorkha Baptist Church, Mon, presenting the opening act at the 3rd biennial youth conference of AGBCN in Mon town on Friday.

Dimapur, Oct. 7 (EMN): A three-day 3rd biennial youth conference of the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) got underway at Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum (KBBB) Mission Center in Mon district on October 7 on the theme ‘Be still and know that I am God.’

An update from association stated that an opening ceremony was performed by the youth ministry of Gorkha Baptist Church Mon, while Adrian Dewan, song writer and worship leader from Nepal, was the speaker at the introductory session. He exhorted the young people to fear God and choose between wise and ignorant life. He also advised young people to lead a responsible life saying, “Everything is under God’s control. Strive to become conscientious young people, he sure will bless you.”

In his greetings, the KBBB executive secretary, Rev. M Chemyuh Konyak, encouraged the youth not to fall for the bad but always go for the right.

Ssongs were presented by Nepali Baptist Church, Kiphire, and Nepali Baptist Church, Phek.

Experience sharing was said by Rupendra Magar, AGBCN Missionary, while Shishir Lama, AGBCN youth secretary, shared greetings.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Enosh Tamang, youth leader of GBC Thahekhu, while the praise and worship was led by GBC Mon youth ministry and the camp director of the youth conference, pastor Kamal Limbu, gave an orientation.

Altogether, 421 delegates from 42 Gorkha churches in Nagaland are taking part in the 3rd biennial youth conference. The conference, hosted by youth ministry of GBC Mon, would culminate on October 9.
