Nagaland: ‘About Us’ to headline DLSU Jubilee Nite on Oct. 15

Dimapur, Oct. 13 (EMN): About Us, an experimental hard rock musical band that was in news for its deal with international record label Frontiers Music Srl is set to headline the golden jubilee celebration of the Dimapur Lotha Students’ Union (DLSU) Jubilee Nite on Oct. 15 at the Dimapur Government College ground along with pop rock band ‘The Paradigm Shift’, seven-year-old child prodigy guitarist Gideon Kithan and musician Meribeni Patton.

The DLSU Jubilee Nite will be graced by Dimapur II A/C MLA Moatoshi Longkumer and retired Secretary to the Government of Nagaland YM Humtsoe as the special invitees.

During a press conference held at the DGC ground in Dimapur on Thursday, About Us band members updated that the band will be performing ten songs (five originals and five covers).

The Paradigm Shift performance will also include both covers and original while Gideon Kithan said he will be playing three musical pieces.

The DLSU’s 50th jubilee celebration Convenor Mhachio Lotha said the reason behind organising the Jubilee Nite is to honour the pioneers of DLSU and also give back to the initiative they started.

The Jubilee Nite which is going to be an exclusive musical night is being organised with the assistance of well wishers.

The jubilee convenor has called upon everyone from all age group to be a part of the Jubilee Nite as the concert will be free and will begin from 5 pm onwards.

The inaugural session of the Jubilee programme will be graced by Advisor Horticulture and Border Affairs Mhathung Yanthan as special guest on Oct. 14 while the main event will be graced by Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton as chief guest on Oct. 15 morning. The valedictory programme will be graced by Advisor Information Technology, Science and Technology, New and Renewable Energy  Mhonlumo Kikon as the special guest on Oct. 15 afternoon.
