Dimapur, Sep. 18 (EMN): Aboi Area Students’ Union (AASU) has strongly opposed the transfer of teacher with post and resolved to fight ‘tooth and nail’ against such practices in the larger interest of the public and quality education.
AASU, in a statement issued by its media cell, has appealed to the principal director of School Education department not to transfer any teacher without a “reliever”. It has sought clarification from the department on the threat against the HOD of school for not releasing the incumbents, who were transferred with posts.
The union mentioned that it is not the first time such transfers were made from their area and expressed resentment over such step-motherly treatment meted out to them.
The union affirmed that no incumbent should be transferred until and unless their replacements are made. It warned that the concerned individuals or authority would be held solely responsible in the event of any eventuality arising out of such transfer of teachers with post.
