Naga Hoho fetes new UNC team

Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): Naga Hoho has congratulated the newly elected executives and assembly officials of the United Naga Council (UNC) for the tenure 2022-2026. The hoho extended best wishes to the new team led by NG Lorho as president, Milan S as vice president, Vareiyo Satshang as general secretary, S Stephen Lamkang as assistant general secretary, Koruphun Tantanga as cultural secretary, James T as information secretary, and Paul Chothe as assembly speaker. The hoho also lauded the outgoing team led by S Kho John for the successful tenure. It added that the sacrifices and services rendered to the Naga people would go down the Naga history and appealed to the outgoing team to continue extending support and service to the Naga people.

KBC offers free coffee to travelers

Kohima, Dec. 2 (EMN): Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) on December 1 distributed free coffee, tea and snacks to travelers near Koinonia Prayer Centre (KPC), Tsiesema Army Camp on NH-1. An update from the Koinonia media ministry informed that it was an annual event of Junior CYE and Youth departments of the church with the objective to spread the message of ‘love and joy’ to commemorate the onset of festive season. On the occasion, various gospel messages in the form of bookmarks were distributed. The event was also a part of year-long silver jubilee celebration of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC). The main event would be held from December 16 to the 18th at NBCC Convention Centre in Kohima.

HMHP to celebrate Pre-Christmas

Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): Healing Ministry for Handicapped People (HMHP) will organise its 31st Pre-Christmas special service on December 4 at Dimapur railway station at 1 pm with handicapped people. The founder president of HMHP, Rev. JB Gurung, has requested all former funding members, board members, registered members, pastors and evangelists from other churches to attend the programme.

NFMP organises medical camp in Terogvunyu village

Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP), Divisional Management Unit, Kohima, along with Dr. Anshida K, MD of Ophthalmology at AIIMS, Delhi, organised a one-day free health camp in Terogvunyu village under Tseminyu district on November 27. During the camp, the village members availed facilities such as eye check up, blood pressure, sugar level test and arthritis along with free medicines and prescriptions. Altogether, 45 people availed the services from the health camp. The villagers have expressed gratitude for organising the camp.

ANIEF convenes meeting

Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): All Nagaland Industrial Entrepreneurs Federation (ANIEF) has convened its general meeting on December 7 in the conference hall of the State Red Cross Complex at PR Hill in Kohima at 11 am. ANIEF informed that the meeting would discuss pending cases of central transport subsidy under the department of Industries and Commerce, selection or appointment to fill the vacant post of office bearers at the state and district units. All the office bearers and district representatives of ANIEF and all the selected beneficiaries are requested to attend the meeting.

NSCN (IM) convenes Tatar Hoho winter session

Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): NSCN (IM) has convened the winter session of the Tatar Hoho on December 14 and 15 at its Council Headquarters (CHq), Hebron, at 10:30 am. An NSCN (IM)’s statement through its MIP informed that any agenda should be submitted to the secretary of Tatar Hoho on or before December 10. It stated that prior to the Tatar Hoho winter session, oath of allegiance and secrecy for the newly appointed tatars and others would be administered at the Tatar Hoho hall at 10:30 am. Meanwhile, the vice chairman of NSCN (IM), Tongmeth Wangnao, and the convenor of Steering Committee, KK Angami, have condoled the demise of Steering Committee member, Col. (Retd.) Thsachoba Sangtam from Alisophor village under United Sangtam Region, who passed away on December 1. The two leaders have lauded his commitment for the cause of freedom and lamented that his demise was a loss to the entire nation. They have further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members.
