Naga wrestlers leave for UWW Asian Belt wrestling c’ship
Kohima, May 17 (EMN): Four Naga wrestlers on Tuesday (May 17) left for Osh in Kyrgyzstan to compete at the United World Wrestling (UWW) Asian Belt Wrestling and Kazakh Kuresi Championship 2022 scheduled to be held from May 21 till the 23th.
An update issued on May 17 informed that the four Naga wrestlers Venuzo Dawhuo, Keduovilie Zumu, Er. Mhasilhusie Nagi and Nlumrai Hegwang are among the nine wrestlers who will be representing team India for the championship.
The team would be accompanied by Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) president Dr. Hiabe Zeliang and general secretary Vilekho Bio as team coaches and NWA treasurer Vezuhu Keyho as team manager, the update informed.
NWA advisors Neivikuolie Nicholas Khatsu and Khrievotuo Sekhose will also be part of the team, who will be attending referee clinic and training on May 20 and the 21st.
Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima senior pastor Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh invoked God’s blessing for the team in a brief programme before their departure.
