Naga United village, Leo Club Dimapur conduct cleanliness drive
Dimapur, Aug. 31 (EMN): With the aim to keep the village clean, the Naga United Village Council, GBs, VDBs, women society, youth society, students’ union, and churches carried out a cleanliness drive at the Chathe river area on August 29.
During a short meeting at the village entry gate, the village council chairman challenged all to take a stand for the good of the community and also encouraged the churches to come together to support through prayer, an update informed.
He also warned that drinking, using drugs, doing immoral activities and throwing garbage in the village area will incur a fine of INR 5000 and strict disciplinary action will be initiated as per the village resolution.
Meanwhile, the Leo Club of Dimapur with the support of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) cleaned flyover bridge near Dimapur Railway Station.
DMC and Dimapur Naga Students Union members were also present during the cleanliness drive, informed an update.
The team led by its chairman Ankit Paharia and Vishal Patni also provided refreshment and water to sanitation workers and felicitated the sanitation workers.
