Naga students set up admission helpline in Punjab

Dimapur, May 10 (EMN): For the convenience of new students coming from Nagaland and other Naga inhabited areas for studies in Punjab, Naga Students’ Union Phagwara- Punjab (NSUP), the erstwhile Naga Students’ Union Jalandhar (NSUJ), has set up an admission helpline.
The union information and publicity secretary Khumong T stated that the decision to set up helpline was initiated during its 18th general meeting. The union felt the necessity to set up the helpline on seeing the problems faced by new students numbering 50- 100 in seeking admission each year.
Some prominent institutes within the union’s jurisdiction are Lovely Professional University, GNA University, and National Institute of Technology Jalandhar.
The union has asked all concerned to contact its president Kekhrievituo Miachie-o on phone nos. 8837604882 and 9988789068, general secretary N Metmei Phom on phone no. 8146458512, and former president Pele George on phone no. 7707996934 for necessary help.
The union has also installed new office bearers for the tenure 2018-19 led by Kekhrievituo Miachie-o as president, Sedengulie as vice president, N Metmei Phom as general secretary, Arheno Nagi as assistant general secretary, Ngeppon Konyak as finance secretary, Hetoshe Chishi as assistant finance secretary, Khrul Kiso as social and cultural secretary, Nunesenuo Metha as assistant social and cultural secretary, Elithung A Ngullie as games and sports secretary, Apila Thonger as assistant games and sports secretary, Khumong T as information and publicity secretary, Vivozo Kera as assistant information and publicity secretary, Kehouneilie Rio as statistical secretary, Pekrunuo Cheng as literature secretary, Ruokuoselie Khezhie as assistant literature secretary, Vituna Chishi as representative to NSF, and Bangben Shukha as women welfare secretary.
