- DIMAPUR — The
Naga Students' Federation (NSF) has issued a directive to its federating units
and subordinate bodies, opposing the planned demonstration scheduled for April
21 in support of the regularisation of 147 assistant professors under the
department of Higher Education.
- In a notification issued on Saturday, the federation
reiterated its opposition to this “one-time dispensation,” which bypasses due
process and open recruitment.
- “This move, executed in blatant disregard of the
federation's appeals and representations, reflects a gross miscarriage of
justice and undermines the future of thousands of deserving and qualified aspirants
across the state,” the NSF stated.

- The directive called upon all NSF members to refrain from
participating in or endorsing any demonstration that seeks to justify or
normalise the “unjust regularisation process.”
- “Participation in the demonstration would constitute a clear
violation of the stand and principles of the Naga Students’ Federation and will
be viewed with utmost seriousness,” it warned.
- The NSF reiterated its demand for the immediate revocation
of the Cabinet decision and called for all sanctioned posts to be requisitioned
to the Nagaland Public Service Commission.
- This, it asserted, will restore confidence in the system and
uphold the aspirations of the youth of Nagaland.
- The NSF instructed all its federating units and subordinate
bodies to remain vigilant and uphold the collective interest of the student
community during this critical time.
