- DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF)
has instructed its federating units to mobilise volunteers for a planned
democratic agitation starting April 29, should the state government fail to
revoke the Cabinet order for the regularisation of 147 contractual assistant
professors and librarians.
- This follows a seven-day ultimatum served to the government,
which is set to expire on April 28.

- “The federation firmly stands against the arbitrary and
unjustified regularisation order, which is detrimental to the future of
countless deserving aspirants and undermines the sanctity of meritocracy and
transparency in governance.
- All federating units are, therefore, expected to ensure
maximum participation of volunteers with a traditional touch in attire in
solidarity with the collective stand of the Naga student community,” it stated
in a notification issued on Saturday.
- They have been instructed to assemble at 9 am on April 29 at
Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima.
