  • DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has instructed its federating units to mobilise volunteers for a planned democratic agitation starting April 29, should the state government fail to revoke the Cabinet order for the regularisation of 147 contractual assistant professors and librarians.

  • This follows a seven-day ultimatum served to the government, which is set to expire on April 28.

  • “The federation firmly stands against the arbitrary and unjustified regularisation order, which is detrimental to the future of countless deserving aspirants and undermines the sanctity of meritocracy and transparency in governance.

  • All federating units are, therefore, expected to ensure maximum participation of volunteers with a traditional touch in attire in solidarity with the collective stand of the Naga student community,” it stated in a notification issued on Saturday.

  • They have been instructed to assemble at 9 am on April 29 at Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima.
