Naga Students’ Federation calls NEET-qualified candidates for document verification
DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has informed all candidates, who have been selected for various medical courses through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), that its Education Committee will conduct physical verification of documents at its office in Kohima on August 22 and 23.
The candidates have been asked to appear in person along with their parents or guardians, and produce a recent passport-sized photograph, NEET documents, HLSC and HSSLC admit cards, scheduled tribe certificate and indigenous certificate (all in original) during the verification.
The student body went on to state that “only candidates who are Nagas by Blood of Nagaland state are eligible for the seats allotted under the Nagaland state quota”.
“The NSF has observed instances of non-indigenous candidates applying under the state quota, and this practice will not be tolerated,” it stated in a press release.
“Candidates who fail to complete the verification process within the specified dates will be deemed ineligible, and appropriate actions will be taken against defaulters,” it added.
