A SIX member team led by president, Vikishe Shohe is set to officiate and participate in the JK Tyre Arunachal Festival of Speed 2014 (JKTAFS). While Philip Lam (navigator) and Nitoka Chophi (driver) is presently taking part at the 600km race, ‘Himalayan Drive 2’- a Kolkata based Just Sportz Management Privated Ltd. which was flagged off today at Siliguri will mark its end on March 1. Nagaland Adventure of Motor Speed Association (NAMSA) which came into existence in the year 2001 has been taking part in major events in North East and other parts of the country.
During a press conference, NAMSA on talking about the event stated that the group will sponsor four participants who will be taking part at the JKTAFS and the team which is presently taking part at the ‘Himalayan Drive 2’.
The four participants who will represent Nagaland under NAMSA have won in many rallies both nationally and within the northeast region also like tha Himalayan Drive, Red River Rally Guwahati, etc. The sponsored participants are Along Aier, Unoka Assumi, Lhiche Mero and Hatpa Wangnao.
The JKTAFS which will commence on February 1 and end on February 2 will be a race of three formats- Autocross (Dirang town stadium), Rally Sprint (10km) and Hill climb.
The first aid towards the JKTAFS participants will be sponsored by the ‘New Clinical Pharmacy’ and ‘Biomax’ from Dimapur.
