Dimapur, Sep. 26 (EMN): The Rengma Senior Citizens’ Forum (RSCF) in its meeting on Saturday took its stand that any political settlement between the government India and the Nagas must include the Naga national flag and Naga Constitution (Yehzabo) for the accord to be considered honourable and acceptable.
According to an update, the house urged the Centre to settle the Naga issue based on the August 3, 2015 framework agreement and the November 17, 2017 agreed position.
The forum also urged all stakeholders ‘to speak in unison so as to usher in a one Naga accord -- direly necessary for permanent peace and security in our land -- based on our unique political history and identity’.
The RSCF said that the success of the Naga accord would be the result of collective sacrifices of all Naga tribes irrespective of artificial boundaries, therefore, efforts to compartmentalise the Naga issue should be avoided at all cost. In this context, the forum also resolved to stand for an inclusive solution covering all Naga inhabited areas.
