Naga political issue: Naga students in Delhi takes to poster campaign
Dimapur, Jan. 27 (EMN): The Naga Students’ Union of Delhi (NSUD) organized a ‘poster campaign’ on Jan. 27 at Connaught Place in New Delhi. The union informed about the event in a press release that was issued to media on Sat.
The president of the NSUD Herangia Zeliang was quoted as having stated in his address that “it is high time that the Nagas should know what we actually want and what is needed to be done.” Nagas should strive for one common goal, for which unity is the need of the hour, he stated.
The group’s president also commented that the Indo-Naga talk had been going on for the past 21 years ‘with various stakeholders on board and with immense support from Naga civil organisations across the state.’ It is high time that the Naga political parties unite leaving aside their political interests to strive for the people’s greater interest, he added.
A number of Naga citizens converged at Connaught Place to ‘extend support for a Naga solution and not election,’ the press release asserted.
NSUD has acknowledged Naga organisations for supporting ‘the cause of an early solution.’
