Dimapur, Dec. 12 (EMN): The Phek District GB Association held a ‘peace rally’ in Phek headquarters on Dec. 12 at a junction of the deputy commissioner’s office ‘with regard to Indo-Naga political issue.’
According to updates from the DIPR on Wednesday, a brief meeting was held during which “people” expressed the need to “have anticipation and desire to hold acceptable political solution for the Naga people.”
Tuensang GB
Along with the rest of the GB associations in Nagaland, the Tuensang district GB Association also observed a silent procession with the slogan of "we want solution" on the Naga political issue. The procession was conducted at the clock tower in Tuensang town on Dec. 12.
The Tuensang association submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner of Tuensang, L Jamithung Lotha ‘looking for epoch-making juncture between government of India,’ concerning the ‘ongoing political negotiation,’ according to the DIPR.
The memorandum was handed over by the association’s leaders. ‘They also lamented over the slow process of the negotiations with the any major reasons and they also urged the government of India for peaceful and rapid political solution towards the Nagas through its leaders,’ the DIPR explained.
