- DIMAPUR — The
Naga Mothers’ Association has demanded immediate suspension of IAS officer Reny Wilfred in the aftermath of sexual harassment allegations at the workplace
levelled against him.
- In a letter addressed to the governor, the NMA urged La Ganesan
to ensure that justice is served to the victims and punitive measures given
strictly as per the law to the perpetrator, “who has been a repeated offender
of sexual crimes against young women and girls.”
- “We object strongly to the insidious unwanted pressure from
higher authorities to silence and discourage an unbiased investigation. We urge
that the earlier complaints of the Khiamniungan Women Organisation on the rape
cases in Noklak be taken cognisance of at the earliest, as the latest cases
have indicated that the accused is a repeated offender of sexual crimes.
