DIMAPUR — Naga footballer Mecievi Khieya made his official debut for Thonburi United FC in the Thai League 3 in Thailand on September 15.
Khieya came during the second half of the game between Thonburi United and Assumption United played at the Assumption Thonburi School Stadium, Bangkok.
Thonburi United won the match 4-1, the Sports Club (SC) Nagaland Thonburi United stated in an update.
The 23-year-old winger was selected earlier in February during a trial event called ‘Nagaland’s Next Top Player’ in Kohima, organised by Thonburi United FC and the Department of Youth Resources and Sports Nagaland, in collaboration with SC Nagaland and Nagaland Football Association.
His outstanding performances earned him a spot in Thonburi United, a prominent football club associated with Thonburi University in Bangkok.
