Message from Naga Students and Youth Federation (NSYF)
Good morning!
Dear Naga people around the world,
It is our great honour to have a privilege to speak to you on this very historic day of us. First and foremost, we thank God and give our highest respect and honour to our forefathers who made this day historic and special. Only because of their selfless sacrifice we could gather here today to proclaim our birth right for freedom across artificial boundary lines which were demarcated without our knowledge and consent.
On this day, in this very crucial juncture of time in our history, we would like to urge all Naga Political Groups to come together to collectively find an amicable and honourable solution which guarantee remedies for all Naga people across artificial boundaries. The people have been suffering untold burdens and scars for ages in hope of freedom and fulfilment of political rights. Otherwise, the general Naga public would prefer an easy life in wherever they are to hopeless sufferings. Many Naga lives have been sacrificed for the honour cause, many have given their personal lives away, our land has lacked developments and still they are all going on. But today, we want to ask our leaders for what we are suffering for while we are fighting ourselves. Doing nothing rather benefits our people than perishing ourselves in this context.
On this day, we also urge the Governments of India and Myanmar to immediately solve the pan-Naga political problem by respecting the political and historical rights of Naga people. All stakeholders must acknowledge that Nagas’ political problem will never be solved by bilateral agreement. It is a pan-political issue involving India, Nagaland/lim and Burma.
On this day, to general Naga public, we would like to remind that Naga is one and we don’t have border lines. To Naga brothers and sisters from the west, on behalf of Nagas of the east, we would like to request you to keep us in your mind and in prayer. Let’s keep each other in prayer so that our Father in heaven will always keep us all together. God bless us and our country.
Kuknalim!
