Naga Hospital Colony organises mass social service

KOHIMA — Residents of the Naga Hospital Colony in Kohima in large number turned up for a mass social service in the colony on Saturday organised by Naga Hospital Colony Panchayat. The social service started at 6 am and continued till 9 am.

Residents equipped with daos (machete), spades, shovels, and gunny bags joined in cleaning the roads including the National Highway 2 that passes through the colony areas, thoroughfares, drainages and hospital complex.

The Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), District TB Center (DTC), and others are within the Naga Hospital colony.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Naga Hospital Colony Panchayat, Teisobou Sekhose, on behalf of the colony, women’s organisation and youth organisation of the colony, thanked all the residents, business communities, taxi drivers and residents for actively joining in the community social service.

“The turnout was incredibly encouraging, reflecting the strong sense of community spirit and commitment to improve our neighbourhood,” he said.

He further urged everyone to consider the importance of collective effort and support for the well-being of their community.
