Dimapur, February 1

In view of the ongoing peace process, the Naga Hoho has fervently appealed to the Sumi Hoho to review their stand against the NSCN (IM) by exhibiting political maturity in the interest of Naga people for all days to come. Deliberating on some of the burning issues, including the aftermath of Mukalimi incident, which needs immediate attention in the interest of the common people, the Naga Hoho executive meeting held in Kohima today said the stand-off between the NSCN (IM) and the Sumi public surfaced following the licentious act meted out by the NSCN (IM) cadres on December 21, thereby deeply hurting the sentiment of the Naga people in general and the Sumi community in particular.
Terming the demand of the Sumi Hoho for handing over of the culprits to the administration as very apt as every citizen has to abide by the law of the land, the Hoho said it along with other civil societies had strongly requested the NSCN (IM) authority to hand over the culprits as per the demand of the Sumi Hoho in order to pave the way for peaceful negotiation.
