It earnestly appealed to all the Naga political groups to stand by its commitment in letter and spirit. It felt that the political settlement could only come about if and only if the people earnestly pursue together with mutual respect and understanding.

It further wished that the ‘September Joint Accordant’ would bring about lasting peace and understanding amongst the Naga family.

In another statement, the Tangkhul Union Dimapur (TUD) has expressed happiness on the signing of ‘Joint Accordant’ on September 14 between the NSCN (IM) and the WC-NNPG with active facilitation from the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR).

The union has credited FNR for its noble objectives.

While reminding that the effort of reconciliation would be reduced to another drab and mundane exercise in the absence of any concrete action from the groups involved, the union appealed to everyone involved to put their hearts and minds to what they have agreed.

It expressed hope that the reconciliation would reignite again the passion and commitment to peace, brotherhood and mutual understanding.
