EMN Dimapur, August 19 Responding to the request of State government and wishes of Naga people, Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) and Naga Hoho have resolved to appeal for unity and reconciliation amongst different Naga political groups so that renewal of ceasefire between the GoI and NSCN(K) is perceived as an essential and a pre-requisite tool. Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) and Naga Hoho have also resolved to meet the NSCN(K) leadership to review its unilateral abrogation of ceasefire with GoI in the interest of peace. A statement issued jointly by ENPO President Khoiwang Konyak, General Secretary Manlang Phom, Naga Hoho President Chuba Ozukum and General Secretary Mutsikhoyo Yhobu said, “The two bodies agreed in principle for undertaking the humble assignment and to call on the concerned leaders of the NSCN(K), and earnestly convey the deeply heartfelt message of both state government and the public. The two bodies also expressed the desire to meet the Chairman and convey the message, however, in the event of his inability to make himself convenient, we believe he may officially endorse his emissaries to represent on his behalf. Further discussions are in progress for the necessary details of the schedule of the timing, location and movement for the team, which will be shortly finalised for pursuance of the above.”
