The Naga Hoho and Ahom Royal Society have resolved to strengthen the age-old relationship as a neigbhouring community and to maintain peaceful cordial relationship.
The resolution was made during a consultative meeting of the two bodies in Dimapur on November 8, stated a release issued by Naga Hoho Media Cell here today.
The Naga Hoho said in the meeting both the organizations had a thorough discussion on the age-old ties, folklore and recorded history between Nagas and Ahoms and also the historical matrimonial alliance between the two communities.
Both the organizations felt the need to strengthen the age-old relationship as a neigbhouring community and to maintain peaceful cordial relationship in the near future, it said.
The two bodies also have unanimously decided to have a cultural exchange programme within this year while also deciding to have time to time consultative meeting for better and mutual understanding in order to uphold the integrity of the body, the release stated.
