Naga girls find career in beauty and well-being

A total of 148 enthusiastic youth particularly female from 11 districts of Nagaland have joined O2 Spa Academy in Hyderabad to build their career in beauty and wellness. The option find suitable career in beauty and wellness was made possible following the Job Fair organized by Government of Nagaland under the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training in November 2013 at Agri Expo site.
On April 21, 40 enthusiastic female youth from different part of Nagaland have left to join the free training at O2 Academy. The duration of the training is for 6 months where they will be taking the courses in beauty, massage, facial, hairdressing and make up. Yoga, communication skills, personal development and basic knowledge on computer are also included in the training course. The training is being sponsored by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India under the SDI Scheme (Skills Development Initiative) with the objective to provide self-employment opportunity to the educated unemployed youth of the country especially the youth of Northeast India.While addressing the group of students before leaving Nagaland, Additional Director of Employment & Craftsmen training, Vandanshan Lotha, has expressed joy and appreciated the students for coming forward and taking great interest in this six month long job oriented skills training programme. Vandanshan motivated the group to take the opportunity seriously and complete the training and start working to support themselves and their families.
He also asked the students not to look for easy life but to work harder to live better life and become more responsible persons in the society. He also reminded the group that the Government of Nagaland is fully behind the programme to be successfully implemented by benefiting the deserving youth especially those school dropouts, educated unemployed youth in the State.
Human Resource Executive, Mathew Dangmei, who facilitated the event, has highlighted briefly on the process of mobilizing the students and also the training programme. He also briefed the students on self-respect, mannerisms, tips on travel and insight on the O2 Spa & its academy which is in Hyderabad with over 10 Acres with 1 lakhs square feet of facility with integrated hostel, computer labs, hair & beauty labs and facilities such as basketball court, shuttle court, carom boards, chess etc, with dedicated professional strainers with visual presentation.
The representative staff of O2 Spa, Nagaland, further invited all the interested young educated unemployed youth (females) to come and register their names for the coming next batch in April/May & June.
