EMN Dimapur, April 15 In what could be the first of its kind achievement, a Naga girl has launched her own Seven Sisters SPA and Training Academy in Haryana on April 8 where the Haryana MLA, Shashi, cut the ribbon and declared the Academy opened in a small gathering of friends and well wishers. Proprietor of the Academy, Ms Ating Newmai from Jalukie town in Peren district was one of the hundred youth sponsored by the State government in 2009 under ‘Youth Capacity Building’ and sent to Noida for training. With a dream of having her own SPA Therapy centre, she dedicated herself to learning and gaining experience. She worked five years in well known SPA Centres such as The Headmaster, the Blossom Kochhar Day Spa, in Chandigarh. She now has her Academy in Haryana. She is grateful to the State government for sponsoring her training, to her family for encouragement and support and to her well wishers for their faith in her. Fund constraint almost derailed her dream but through the generous credit support of Sanjay Gauba, a builder in Haryana, the Seven Sisters Spa and Training Academy was up in a record time. On being asked why in Haryana not in Nagaland or any of the North East States of India, she said such Spa culture is not yet popular in the region. She added that it is better to get a good training and experience where such culture is popular and later practiced in society. Asked about placement, Ating replied she can take a good number in her centre and besides have good contact with big SPA centres and hotels. There is no problem of employment after training, she said. She added that our youth need to work hard and persevere in their profession. On nomenclature ‘7 Sisters,’ she said it was her dream to reach out to the youth of the Seven Sister States of the NE India and particularly to connote her seven sisters in family.
