Dimapur, June 23 (EMN): Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has appreciated the PDA government led by the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, for living up to its slogan ‘Change is coming’ as manifested by the ongoing development works in and around Dimapur.

The council, in a press release issued by its vice president (Admn) K Ghokheto Chophy, pointed out on two major problems faced by the Dimapur citizens particularly on road and drainage that have been solved to a great extend.

It has lauded the several initiatives for waste disposal and civic education for public awareness on sanitation undertaken by ‘Swacch Bharat Mission.’ It added that many colonies and local leaders have started taking up their responsibilities with great concern, which are signs of positive development in the mindset of the people.

The council, however, expressed dismay over the delay on the construction of two main bridges over Dhansiri River one at Walford and the other at Nagarjan which is affecting the traffic movement. It has sought the intervention of the chief minister for early completion of the bridges.
