[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he district administrations of the state and the police are urged by Naga entrepreneurs and businessmen to strongly tackle the ongoing and unabated extortion activities as well as book perpetrators under the National Security Act (NSA).The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has expressed outrage at the extortion activities going on in the state in spite of the long standing call of the Naga public against the disease. The problem of unabated “taxation” continues with impunity and total disregard for the will of the people, the BAN state din a note issued to the media on Monday.
‘BAN requests the district administration and the police to deal strictly against illegal taxation and extortions and booking the perpetrators under NSA,’ the business organization demanded.
“BAN once again reiterate its unflinching support to Against Corruption & Unabated Taxation ‘one government one Tax’ and appeals to all its members, entrepreneurs, suppliers and contractors of Nagaland not to give any tax until and unless Naga peoples aspiration of one tax one government is achieved,” the organization stated.
“Business Association of Nagas is dishearten that in spite of the clarion call by Naga people against multiple taxation and support for ACAUT’s on one government one tax, the problem of unabated taxation still continues with impunity and total disregard for the will of the people,” the statement added.
