Naga athlete wins bronze at Asian Para Games

DIMAPUR — Nagaland’s Hokato Hotozhe Sema clinched a bronze medal at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games Shotput F-56/57 category event on the third day of competitions. Sema’s personal best was 13.94 meters.

Taking to X micro-blogging site, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio congratulated the athlete for his feat. “…A proud moment for India and historic for Nagaland. Thank you for making us proud. I hope you bring more laurels for the country,” Rio commented on X.

On Wednesday, India added 29 medals to its Asian Para Games tally, including five golds. The total now stands at 64 medals, with 15 golds, 20 silvers and 29 bronzes.
