Nagaland Adventures Club (NAC) Lima Jamir and Kevin Puro made a striking ride wading through muddy terrain to win the second edition of Offroad Maestro 2015 at State Stadium, Dimapur. They won the title after beating 13 participants from Nagaland and neighboring states of Northeast and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 50, 000 along with trophy, certificates and goodies.
The event, which started officially on June 25, culminated on Saturday with five participants remaining on the finale out of the 13 adventurous participants. The second position with Rs 30,000 was bagged by Diezevizo and Kezha Cetho from Kohima along with a trophy and certificates, while the third position was bagged by Larry Mukhim and Kamlesh from Meghalaya who went home richer by Rs 20,000. They also received trophy and certificates. On the final day, the state stadium was enclosed with Dimapur denizen’s who unwearyingly braved the minute shower to witness the battle. Offroad which is not about speed but about negotiating the obstacles that comes across, had enthusiast adventurous participant from across northeast taking the un-surfaced terrain at State Stadium with each participants overcoming obstacles maintaining their knack to win the Offroad Maestro 2015.
Offroad Maestro, which is first in the Northeast region, was initiated by Association of Offroaders Nagaland (AON) to provide platform for sports lovers. The other participants left home with a memento and certificates.
