DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Association for Adventure Mountaineering and Education (NAAME) observed its 17th foundation day on Tuesday at Japfü Eco-Camp, below Pony Farm, Kigwema, Kohima.
NAAME president Ruokuovikho Chale congratulated all members on the occasion for their collaborative efforts towards the association’s 17-year successful journey, according to a press release.
He stated that despite numerous efforts from the government to the village level, the scope and potential for eco-tourism, adventure, and sports climbing remain untapped in the state and stressed the need for intervention through extraordinary thinking and efforts by engaging the right people for the right job.
He further assured that NAAME will continue to work for environment-friendly surroundings under the ‘green initiative’.
