Dimapur, Sep 2 (EMN): A three-member NAAC peer team visited KROS College on August 29 and 30. The peer team comprised of Prof. Bishnu Charan Barik, former Vice Chancellor of Sambalpur University, Orissa, as the chairperson; Prof. Jagadeesha, Department of Studies & Research Commerce, Manasa Gagngotri, Mysore, as the member Coordinator; and Dr. Vivek Kohli, Principal of Sohan Lal DAV College of Education, Ambala City, Haryana, as member.
The peer team interacted with the various departments, members of the 17 committees, support services, faculty, staff, students, alumni and parents. Document verification and visits to the facilities of the college like the botanical gardens, zoo, rainwater harvesting, check dam, e-waste management, canteen, hostels, staff quarters and others shown to the visiting team.
On August 29, the team had a luncheon meeting with representatives of the Department of Higher Education namely R Tsalise Sangtam, under Secretary; Dr. Nokhwenu Kirha, Deputy Director; and Atula B Aier, State NAAC Coordinator; and representatives of Nagaland University namely Dr. SK Sharma, Dean, SETAM Dimapur; disability patron Diethono Nakhro, and Dr. Arenla Walling, District Nodal Officer NTCP.
The visit concluded with exit meeting on August 30 wherein Prof. Bishnu Charan Barik appreciated Krosians for the achievement made in just 6 years and recommended to improve the research and consultancy service. The chairperson also handed over the peer team report to the principal.
