DIMAPUR — The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team, which evaluates institutions for conformance to the standards of quality in terms of performance related to the educational processes and outcomes, visited C-Edge College for 2nd cycle of accreditation on April 12 and 13.
The team comprised of Prof. JP Sharma, former vice chancellor of Mohan Sukhadia University, Rajasthan, as chairman; along with Prof. V Manickavasagam, former registrar and dean (management) of Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu; and Prof. GL Reddy, professor of Adult Education and Human Resource Development at Dravidian University, Kuppam, in Andhra Pradesh, as members.
An update from the college stated that its principal, Dr. Chubatola Aier, has presented a comprehensive overview of the college including history, vision and mission, academic and infrastructural facilities, and future plans for development. It was followed with a series of verification and interactions with various stakeholders. It added that meetings were held with all HoDs and departmental members, college staff, IQAC coordinator, members of the BoG, representatives from Nagaland University and department of Higher Education (Nagaland), students, parents and alumni.
Report stated that the visit concluded with an exit meeting. In the programme, the college’s principal, Dr. Chubatola Aier, called upon all to work ceaselessly for academic excellence and to instill the cutting-edge mindset for progressive gains.
In his speech, the peer team chairman urged the management, faculty, staff, students and stakeholders to play their due role stating that quality cannot be achieved in isolation.
