Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): The fourth edition of the state level football tournament in memory of “Capt (late) N Kenguruse, MVC” will be conducted from Sep. 10 till the 22nd, stated a press note received here on Friday.
Captain (late) N Kenguruse, MVC from Nehrima village, Kohima, attained martyrdom on June 28, 1999 during the Kargil War.
A curtain raiser for the tournament was organised at the RCEMPA, Jotsoma on Fri. Sep. 7 with the aim to give the occasion the respect it deserves, besides wide coverage.
Following the unveiling of the trophy, 24 team captains drew lots for a place in respective pools and matches. To give an all Nagaland profile and to ensure widespread popularity two teams per district are participating, in addition to DGP team and a team each from 164 Naga TA (Home and Hearth) and HQ IGAR (N).
