Kelly Clarkson claims her daughter can’t make the cut for playdate with North West
She gave birth to her daughter River Rose only about eight months ago.
But Kelly Clarkson is already calling the shots on her little girl’s social life – and this won’t include any playdates with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s 20-month-old daughter, North West.
‘I don’t think my kid would be talented enough to hang out with Kanye’s kid,’ the 32-year-old singer told London’s Heat Radio, after she was asked which famous babies she foresees in her daughter’s future.
‘Apparently not many people are,’ the American Idol alum elaborated.
Kelly and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed their first born child last June, about eight months after tying the knot in October 2013.
And the Stronger songstress is now picturing eligible bachelors for River Rose.
‘Have you seen Wiz Khalifa‘s little boy? He was on the Grammys red carpet and I want River to marry him – it’d be so cute,’ she joked about the rapper’s two-year-old son Sebastian.
However, the two-time Grammy winner claims she doesn’t hang out with many celebrities herself.
‘I live in Tennessee, I honestly don’t hang out, unless they’re country stars, I don’t really hang out with celebrities,’ she said during the interview.
Meanwhile, The Since U Been Gone singer refreshingly admitted she hasn’t struggled to balance motherhood with her singing career during an interview on the Kyle And Jackie O Show on Friday morning.
‘I love taking [my daughter] with me [to work], I don’t really find it hard, but that’s coming from a woman who has a nanny,’ she told the KIIS FM hosts.
‘So I’m not a real working mother.’
Kelly is also a stepmother to her husband’s children from a previous marriage.
‘We have three kids now, I married into a 13-year-old and an eight-year-old – they’re all addicted to social media,’ she laughed.
The American songstress’ new album, Piece By Piece, was recorded during her pregnancy, which she said wasn’t a problem until she was almost full term.
‘I recorded the whole album during my pregnancy – it was mid barf session,’ she laughed.
‘[I didn’t have trouble] not until like the eighth month – so then she’s bouncing up and down on your diaphragm so I couldn’t hit the full range. About three months after [the birth] I was back to full force.’
The American Idol singer’s new album is out next week.
