Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): The 5th edition of Morning Premier League (MPL) concluded on Friday, June 28 after four months of exciting football with Mustang FC emerging as the eventual winner.
The league which began on February 18 is for players above the age of 31, stated an update received here on Friday. Though Mustang FC lost their match 1-2 against Morung United on Friday, June 28 at Seikhazou ground, they were far way ahead with 7 points against the second placed All Blacks in the league table.
The golden boot was awarded to Zakie of All Blacks while Zunthongo of All Blacks received the golden glove award. The player of the season was bagged by Tesah of Mustang FC while KABA FC received the fair play award of the season. MPL is organised by Morning Football Association (MFA).
