Dimapur, Oct. 2 (EMN): The NSCN (IM) has refuted a news report about the alleged meeting of Ato Kilonser Th Muivah with Deputy Chief Minister Yangthungo Patton and NPF leader TR Zeliang, saying that it (report) took the group by surprise.

News portal EastMojo claimed in an article published on Monday that the NSCN (IM) leader had recently met Patton and Zeliang at Hebron camp. It also speculated that the BJP leader could be trying to forge an alliance with the NPF.

A press release from the NSCN (IM) stated that it had contacted EastMojo to refute its report but the Editor showed defiance and suggested to issue a rejoinder.

“We pointed out that the hon’ble Ato Kilonser, would not stoop that low to meddle in the state politics while he is heavily occupied to make a breakthrough in finding a solution to the vexed Indo-Naga political issue,” read the statement. The group has accused the news portal of writing a fabricated story by dragging its leader. It added that it has blacklisted EastMojo for refusing to offer an apology for the false report.
