The seminar was conducted with the theme ‘Becoming an Agent of Peace.’ The programme was organized by the Wokha chapter of Peace Channel. The project coordinator of Peace Channel, RK John said in his address that ‘instruction are same yet results are different’ to one’s prospective. He illustrated with a presentation how peace can be interpreted or elaborated in different ways. Peace starts with oneself and acquainting inner peace lead to outer peace, he said. Further, John said that the youths, as an “agent of change”, should take up responsibility and demonstrate the vibrant movements that only youths can and use their talent to see change. They can be the change, he explained, “Where peace is not only confined to theories or concept.” With lighted candles the students were encouraged to be ‘as bright as candle light’ to others and for the society. The event also featured a pledge for peace. The group’s Coordinator Mhao Yanthan assured that the organisation shall continue to work with all school and colleges in Wokha. 60 students from the college were enrolled as members of Peace Channel.
