MSME schemes should not go wasted — APC

Dimapur, Oct. 3 (EMN): Nagaland Agriculture Production Commissioner, Kikheto Sema, convened a meeting with Agri. and allied officials on Monday to and deliberated on a workshop for availing MSME schemes scheduled to be held on October 7.

In the meeting, APC Nagaland said that there are several schemes/ projects under the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and felt that the Naga entrepreneurs should avail the schemes instead of letting it go wasted, a DIPR report stated.

Sema said the workshop, especially for availing MSME schemes, will be conducted by MSME officials and successful entrepreneurs from the mainland where genuine Naga entrepreneurs will be given the platform.

In the meeting, work distribution was assigned to the departments for arranging logistics for smooth conduct of the workshop.

 Kikheto also informed that since last year, Chief Minister Niephiu Rio had conveyed his desire for organising workshop for the entrepreneurs and for which proposal was sent to the ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, New Delhi.

Joint Secretary, Mo, MSME, Mercy Epao, and APC Nagaland will address the inaugural session which will be followed by technical sessions, it stated.
