(EM Images)[/caption] Eastern Mirror Desk Dimapur, Sep. 27: The first MS Ahluwalia Memorial 3x3 Open Basketball Tournament got underway at the PWD Children's Park in Dimapur on Friday, September 27. The two-day tournament is organised by the Dimapur District Basketball Association (DDBA) in collaboration with Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) in memory of late MS Ahluwalia. Speaking on behalf of the family at the inaugural programme, Harjinder Singh Ahluwalia, the son of late MS Ahluwalia, said that it was a dream come true and thanked the DDBA for approving and organising the tournament in memory of his father. The tournament was officially pronounced by NN Walling, retd. DGP Nagaland Police, where he encouraged the players to be a good sportsman. "Winning or losing is not important, what matters is your dedication and love for sports" Walling said. 20 teams from Dimapur and Kohima and one team from Shillong are participating in the tournament. In the first match of the tournament, Touchline 3x3 defeated Stallions 7-6.
