MPL 2023 concludes with Morung United FC emerging champions

DIMAPUR — The Morning Premier League (MPL) 2023 concluded at the IG Stadium in Kohima on Friday with the Morung United FC emerging champions of the league.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Director of Youth Resource and Sports, Dovo expressed hope that the league will continue to grow, according to an update.

He also congratulated the organisers and players for their hard work and determination, which had contributed to the success of the league

Mele, MPL Convener, expressed gratitude to the Department of Youth Resources and Sports for its support and all participating teams for maintaining good sportsmanship. He also thanked the sponsors, including Lirunas, Symphony Café, Innovations Plus, Life Tents, Life Pro Productions, Disong Designs, and well-wishers for their support.

Femina Miss India Nagaland 2018 Ruopfu Whiso hosted the programme while Miss Nagaland 2022 Hikali Achumi gave away the prizes to the winners.

The highlight of the closing ceremony included a K-pop dance performance by Hachobeni and Chumreno.
