MP urges students to look beyond govt. jobs

Addressing the inaugural session at the 39th annual conference of the Eastern Sumi Students’ Union (ESSU) in Khetoi village under Aghunato sub-division on January 4, Yepthomi urged the students to look beyond government service for means of employment. He encouraged students to be entrepreneurs and be independent of government dependency. Emphasising on the dignity of labour, he stressed that vocational jobs are the best solutions for weak economy. He further urged students to have a clear mindset as to what they wanted to pursue after completing their education and not to burden parents with finding employment for them. The three-day ESSU conference would conclude on January 6.
