DIMAPUR — Nagaland Lok Sabha MP Supongmeren Jamir called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his office on March 25.
According to a press release issued by the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), the meeting held deliberations on the need for an early and inclusive political settlement to the long-pending Naga political issue.
The discussions focused on the aspirations and sentiments of the Naga people and the importance of a peaceful and honourable solution.
During the meeting, Jamir raised concerns regarding the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and urged the Ministry to consider the views and demands of the Naga people, particularly in safeguarding the interests of communities living along the border areas of Nagaland.
Matters concerning the development and upgrade of village guards were also discussed.
Jamir expressed hope for constructive action and reaffirmed his commitment to continue advocating for the rights and welfare of the Naga people.
