More than 60 houses saved from fire in Arunachal

Dimapur, March 26 (EMN): Troops of Indian Army in a prompt action saved more than 60 thatched houses, from a fire in Kaying village in West Siang sistrict of Arunachal Pradesh on March 25.

Responding to an emergent call for aid, the troops from the unit located in the vicinity swung into action along with fire-fighting equipment to douse the raging fire, an update from PRO Defence Lt. Col. Sumit K Sharma informed.     

The troops along with villagers, police and civil administration prevented further spread of fire.

The villagers and civil administration appreciated the quick response and untiring efforts of the Indian Army in extinguishing the fire, said PRO.
